Class Description

Struggling to maintain connection and attention while you work? Perplexed by a training exercise that seems perfect during practice and falls apart when it’s time to compete? Whatever your sport or area of training, this class will show you how to problem solve glitches and polish behaviors to a shine. Explore the qualities that excellent handlers share, and develop them for yourself: We’ll look at how to set up a training session, selecting and holding criteria, working through environmental challenges to generalize learned behaviors, proofing your dog’s understanding of a skill, and using secondary reinforcers to maintain engagement outside of training sessions. Learn to look at any training problem and create a solution.
